Sorry we're late with your blog post Uncle Dante-- you were certainly in our thoughts and prayers all day yesterday!

We hope you had a wonderful birthday celebration. As you can see, Katherine is ready to party big this weekend when we celebrate as a family:

Happy Mother's Day to Mommy, as well as Oma, Grambie, GG, Aunt Mary, Aunt Kari, and Mary Beth (Katherine's Godmother), and ALL mom's!! Mommy was especially blessed to celebrate this Mother's Day with Katherine, as well as Katherine's Baby brother or sister (due to make his/her debut around November 22nd)!!

As you can see, we're sure Katherine will be an awesome Big Sister! 

We had a wonderful Mother's Day celebration. Mommy ran the Race for the Cure with Grambie, Aunt Mary, Uncle Dave and Andrew (Daddy stayed home with Katherine and Alex). Daddy got Mommy fancy coffee and we all enjoyed Indian food for lunch (something Baby Block had been asking for lately). :-)

We got to video chat with Oma and Opa this afternoon, and enjoyed a delicious dinner at Grambie and Grandpop's with all of Mommy's family.

Mommy is blessed to be surrounded by a loving and supportive family every day of the year, but it was certainly wonderful to celebrate today!

terrific toddler!

Katherine has truly passed from the "infant" stage to a full fledged toddler. She is becoming more and more independent, and as you can see below she has mostly mastered walking! She definitely prefers walking to crawling (it's much easier to get into trouble with your hands free, and you can go so fast!), although she still has her fair share of falls.

Before we know it, Katherine will be running all over and we'll hardly be able to keep up!

mamaRoo Mama

As you probably know, a few months ago Mommy started working for 4moms. She loves the new job-- friendly people, rewarding work, and of course, promoting awesome products. As a side project, Mommy got to help make a video for the new version of the mamaRoo. You can check out the final video here:




Mommy's formal acting career ended in 4th grade with the role of "Mrs. Clause" in the Christmas play, so she never realized before how much effort it could take to walk across a screen and press a button! Luckily, the mamaRoo is a very awesome product, and we have an awesome videographer on our team, so the final video still turned out pretty great!

Oh "no!"

Katherine has understood the word "no" for several months now. She heard "No, no" most often when she would try to get up from her highchair in the middle of a meal, or whenever she would crawl towards the electrical outlets (always protected with outlet plugs, of course) and try to play with them. Sometimes Katherine even repeats "No, no" back to Mommy and Daddy-- shaking her head and her finger.

Katherine's newest trick is initiating "No, no" whenever she doesn't want to do something. So far it has been quite cute-- Mommy: "Katherine, do you want bananas or cheese for lunch?" Katherine: "Naaah."

Or as you can see tonight at bath-time... Mommy: "Katherine, do you want to get out and go night night?" Katherine: "Naaah!"

We know plenty of toddler tantrums are just around the corner as Katherine masters her "No's," but we'll enjoy them for all their sweetness now. :-)

Happy Birthday GG!!

We enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration with GG tonight! Katherine is getting more confident with walking all by herself, and showed off a bit for GG by taking some steps to her. We have yet to catch Katherine walking on video, but we promise a post of her "baby steps" soon.

Katherine was also excited to help sing, blow on candles, and of course-- eat some delicious cake!

Happy Birthday GG! We are so blessed to have such a loving (Great) Grandma, and we pray that this year is filled with joy and fun!
