Woo hoo! Look who's 2!!

We had so much fun celebrating big cousin Alex's birthday this weekend that we forgot to blog about it (Yikes!).

Katherine loved watching all the action, and can't wait to join in the fun herself in just a couple months!

Happy Daddy's Day!

Katherine thinks her Daddy sure is tops! She knows she is the luckiest little girl in the world because she gets to snuggle and play with Daddy all day every day! She was sure excited to celebrate Dad today. We all enjoyed special treats like fresh Panera bagels this morning and a "root down" (root beer with a shot of espresso) from Quiet Storm, Daddy's favorite coffee shop for brunch.

Later on today we got to celebrate Father's Day with a bunch of other cool dads too. Happy Father's Day to Grandpop, Opa, Grandpa Elizando Uncle Dave, Uncle Dante (Katherine's Godfather), and ALL dads everywhere!

Chatty Kathy is Three?

Where did the time go? I don't know how but, our little Katherine turned 3 months today. It is a strange feeling having such an important part of your life come into said life so abruptly. Life without Katherine both feels days and years ago, that is time feels both fleeting and endless.

At any rate, we both know that the real reason anyone looks at this blog is for pictures/videos. Here is one that we both absolutely adore!

One-derful Oma and Opa

Oma and Opa traveled up from Texas to spend a long weekend with us, and we've truly enjoyed every moment of the visit! Katherine has loved being held non-stop, and Mommy and Daddy have greatly appreciated the help, and treasure the time together.

We tried to convince Oma and Opa to move into the giant shed that Opa and Daddy built this weekend, but unfortunately they headed back south.

Thank you for a fantastic trip, and we can't wait to see you again soon!

Happy Birthday Grambie

Happy Birthday Grambie!! Katherine thinks playing with Grambie is super fun, and we all hope Grambie has the happiest of Birthdays! We can't wait to celebrate with Grambie tonight. Here Katherine is playing on her quilt from Grambie. We look forward to many fun playtimes with Grambie over the next year, and in many happy years to come!

Little Gourmet

Katherine is becoming quite the taste tester. Hands seem to be her favorite snack, although she is growing fond of delicacies such as peacock as well...

Although it will be quite awhile before Katherine explores "real food," it is exciting to see her become more aware and interested in her environment. She is beginning to enjoy playing with toys and gets excited when she puts things in her mouth. As Katherine explores and grows it will be fun to see what other "culinary delights" she enjoys. Bon appetite! ;-)

Happy Anniversary Mommy and Daddy

Mommy and Daddy had a fantastic first anniversary weekend. We went out on a date at the Elbow Room (the restaurant we had our rehearsal dinner at), watched our wedding video and enjoyed a slice of our wedding cake we'd been saving with some wine we got for our wedding.

This weekend has been a wonderful reminder of how blessed we are and how much we love each other. Thank you to all our family and friends who love and support us. :-)
